Dr. Christopher Baer, DMD

Ever since I was a child I loved working with my hands, taking things apart, and putting them back together again. As a dentist, I am able to put this to good use while helping people improve the quality of their lives. My work is never really work because I truly love what I do. Every day is exciting and brings new challenges and rewards. I get to meet so many new and exciting, interesting people and help them achieve their dental goals.
Like many of my patients, I never liked going to the dentist when I was growing up. Now, after working as a dentist in Aurora for several years, I take every day as a new opportunity to help reshape people’s views about dentistry. Regardless of whether they are children or adults, I believe all patients deserve a positive dental experience to go with their healthy smile.

Emergency Dentistry
Immediate Care

We are here to help you with any and all dental emergencies. If you have a dental emergency causing pain or something that requires immediate attention, contact us immediately.

The Risk of Cavities

Certain people can be more susceptible to getting cavities while other people are susceptible to gum disease – the more susceptible you are, the higher the risk. This risk factor needs to be managed differently for each patient in order to minimize the damage caused from the cavity causing or gum disease bacteria. They are infections and need to be treated as such.

This is why and where our approach to dental care is different. There have been great advancements in science and dentistry which allow us to better diagnose, treat, and manage patients who are at high risk for dental diseases. Every patient is different and treatments we provide are designed to manage your individual risk profile. It is our goal to provide a customized treatment plan for you than can minimize your dental treatment needs in the future.

"Our practice approach has helped to prevent countless teeth from a lifetime of dental treatment. If we can prevent cavities, we can likely prevent more expensive treatments later in life."

- Christopher Baer, DMD

The Kois Center

In the Pursuit of Dental Excellence

The Kois Center, located in Seattle, WA is an advanced didactic and clinical program for dentists. It is a rigorous training program of continuing dental education which expands a clinicians knowledge and application skills in restorative dentistry. Only a small percentage of dentists around the world take part in this unique program each year and it can take years to complete. It is the Top Gun of training programs in the dental field.

Education

  • University of Arizona, BS in Molecular and Cellular Biology Tucson, AZ
  • Oregon Health and Sciences University School of Dentistry , Portland, OR
  • Audie L Murphy VA Hospital AEGD Residency, San Antonio, TX
  • Kois Center, Seattle WA

I have a strong commitment to education and completed an extra year of training beyond dental school at the Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital in San Antonio, TX. That year gave me advanced training in aesthetic procedures, dental implants, gum surgeries, root canals, treatment of complex dental cases, and management of medically compromised patients. Additionally, I was able to train with some of the most talented dentists in the U.S.

Constantly improving myself is extremely important to me – I have hundreds of hours of continuing education and completed the curriculum at the Kois Center in Seattle. In addition to continuing education, I am involved with educational aspects of dentistry, lecturing to fellow dentists and working with dental manufacturers on the development of dental products. My photography has also been used by dental manufacturers to show dentists how to perform treatment or use their products correctly.

Family Life

I am originally from California, but currently reside in Parker, CO. My wife and I have two amazing boys and a Pug and Chocolate Lab. Aside from dentistry, my hobbies include running, swimming, CrossFit, fly fishing, hunting, and spending time with my family. I love cooking, and as a result of my time in Texas I have honed my barbecue skills. You will often find the smoker fired up on the weekends around our house, even in the winter!
