We offer Full & Partial Dentures

If you have extensive tooth loss, you may be wondering what solutions are available to meet your needs. One common and effective solution for patients of all ages is dentures.

Dentures are realistic-looking, helpful dental appliances that replace either some or all of a patient’s missing teeth. With dentures, you’ll be able to smile wide and eat many of your favorite foods again without concern. Denture technology has come a long way over the years, and it’s easier than ever to design custom dentures that fit perfectly with your remaining teeth and gums. You’ll love your new set of dentures!

And while modern full sets of dentures may bear some resemblance to Grandpa’s, great strides have been made to make them function better and fit more comfortably.

They are usually constructed in about 3-4 weeks and typically take four fittings to make sure they fit correctly and function properly. Prior to final fabrication, we go through an extra step called a wax try-in, which allows you a way to view the new dentures prior to completion.

Types of Dentures

Partial Dentures

One of the great inventions of our time, it’s no longer necessary to have your remaining teeth removed if you lose only a few of them. Now, you can replace only those missing teeth with a partial denture custom-designed to create an even more natural appearance and comfortable feel.

Denture Reline

The process of adjusting dentures to counteract the natural changes that happen in a patient’s tissues is called denture relining. Physical changes during aging can shrink bone and tissue. This can cause the dentures to become loose or unstable and even sore.

All denture patients will go through a reline eventually. This is not due to faulty hardware or poor installation, but merely a result of the natural changes our bodies go through as we age.

If you think your smile is to the point where a partial or even full replacement may be in order, our team of professionals in Lone Tree, CO, will go over each option that may fulfill your needs and create a plan to give you back your whole smile.

Immediate Dentures

Some patients who want dentures and are badly in need of them will be reluctant to get them done because they don’t want to go for any length of time without teeth. The immediate option can be made ready for you the day all your teeth are removed.

There are a few specific advantages to an immediate denture. The most important one is that the patient will never have to appear in public without their teeth. Additionally, it is easier to reproduce the shape, color, and arrangement of a patient’s natural teeth when there are still existing teeth available for comparison in the mouth.

An immediate denture is inserted at the time of extraction, allowing the patient to go home with a full set of teeth the day of the surgery. It will also allow a patient to establish their speech patterns early.

Of course, with advantages come disadvantages. The primary one is that they cost more.

It is initially a less affordable denture than its conventional sibling because additional time is needed to construct it.

Not all patients can be candidates for immediate dentures. Some health conditions and oral problems may make this option inadvisable.

Denture Implants

More people each year, both new and experienced denture wearers, are turning to dental implants as the premium solution for restoring their teeth, their smiles, their quality of life, and the ability to eat all the food they want.

Bone loss begins as soon as you lose a natural tooth. In the first year following the tooth loss, your jawbone can recede almost one-quarter of an inch. This lack of support from your missing teeth and facial bones will cause your face to begin to look prematurely aged.

Dental implants are an amazing tooth replacement option that involves the placement of titanium rods into the jawbone of the patient to hold one or more replacement teeth in place. For those missing an entire row or a large portion of teeth, implant dentures can provide the support needed.

Many patients love implant-supported dentures, as not only do they appear natural, but they are also held in place with sturdy rods. This allows a patient to bite and chew many of their favorite foods without worrying about their dentures shifting. They also help to prevent bone loss.
